Expert Pool & Spa Inc. provides the most comprehensive Swimming Pool
Opening Services in the area. We go beyond the basics and provide a more
extensive service only "The Experts" can provide.
Swimming Pool Openings Include:
 | Pool Cover Removal - Cover is cleaned and folded, secured
for storage and placed where the customer requests it to be stored for the
season. If the cover is too wet to be placed in storage it will be
placed there on a return visit. Brass Anchors for safety covers are
screwed down and any damaged anchors are remove and replaced. Water
Bag type covers are pumped clear of water and leaves/debris and pressure
washed along with the tubes. Leaves and debris are placed in a
approved container for garbage pick up at the customers curb. |
| Vacuum Swimming Pool - All of our Openings INCLUDE the first
initial vacuuming. This procedure removes a large amount of debris
from the pool. Depending on the water clarity upon cover removal, this
may be more effective if performed a day or two after the pool is
circulating and pool chemicals have been added. Additional vacuuming
may be required to completely remove all debris/dirt. |
| Pool Circulation Equipment Preparation and Start Up - Pool
Pump, Heater, Filter, Chlorinator, Pool Cleaner, Fresh Water Lines and other
related equipment are prepared and inspected for operation. Pilot
Light is lit on heaters, pool lights are checked for safety and operation,
electrical wiring and switches are checked for safety and operation, filters
are backwashed or cleaned. Chlorinators are checked and cleaned.
Filter Valves are checked for smooth operation and leakage to waste.
Fresh Water Back Flow Preventers are checked for leaks and M.U.D. certified
inspections can be arranged. Circulation system is started up and
inspections for leaks and other problems are performed. Skimmer valves
are charged and opened when pool water level is adequate. |
| Poolside Equipment is Inspected and Installed - Ladders are
checked for tread wear, tightness and the rubber bumpers are inspected and
installed. Deck Anchors for ladders and handrails are inspected for
proper operation and tightness and escutcheons are inspected and
installed. Diving Boards and stands are inspected for rust,
damaged hardware and cracks. Diving Board is installed if related
equipment is safe. Pool Slides are inspected for cracks, hardware is
tightened, water supply lines are inspected and replaced if needed.
Pool Return Fittings are inspected, adjusted and installed. Face
Plates are inspected and replaced if cracked. Skimmers are cleaned,
weirs are checked for smooth operation, baskets are inspected for cracks and
broken handles, lids are inspected for cracks and installed. Automatic
Pool Cleaners are inspected for smooth operation, bags are checked for
holes, wall fittings are inspected and replaced if worn, cleaner is
installed and proper operation is verified. Pool Safety Rope is
inspected and installed. Solar Blanket is installed on reel if
requested. |
| Pool Deck Area is Serviced - Entire Pool deck area is power
washed and cleaned of leaves and debris. Patio furniture is removed
from storage if requested by customer. Patio furniture is lightly
power washed. Leaves and debris is properly contained and placed at
customers curb for garbage pick up. Fence gates are inspected for
proper latching and tightness and hinges are lubricated. Gate latches
can be repaired or replaced at the customers request. Pump Equipment
Pad is cleaned of leaves and debris and power washed. |
| Additional Cleaning - Pool water line is cleaned and scrubbed.
Skimmers are cleaned of grease and oil. One piece steps are cleaned
and inspected. Diving Boards, Slides, Ladders and Hand Rails are all
cleaned and power washed. Brass anchors for ladders/rails are cleaned
out before rail installation. Cover Anchors are power washed before
they are screwed down. Pool floor and walls are brushed down.
Pool pump basket, skimmer baskets and pool cleaner bags are all cleaned one
final time before our departure. Other areas can be cleaned at the
customers request. Some customers wish to have us power wash the
garage to clean up the dirt and salt from winter. Wood decks can be
power washed to remove slime and mildew which can become slippery. Prior
notification is requested for additional cleaning services. |
| Pool Water Testing and Chemical Adjustment - Swimming
pool water is tested and adjusted for proper pH, Total Alkalinity,
Stabilizer and Sanitizer levels. Algaecide, Water Clarifier, Shock
Treatment and Enzymes are added to expedite water clarity. Although
chemicals are not included in the price of the pool opening, we carry a
complete supply of chemicals for sale on our service vehicles and we also
offer FREE delivery on all future parts and chemical orders. All it
takes is a phone call or an Email and we will deliver anything you need.
