Spa Maintenance Checklist
Expert Pool & Spa,
Inc.
- Daily
- Check the water level in the spa on a daily basis. Not enough
water can damage the spa and cause the pump to run dry. Too much
water will not usually hurt the spa and it will simply spill over the
side when a bather enters the spa.
- Test and Adjust the spa water chemistry. Testing at least once
per week minimum is required. Maintain the Sanitizer, pH and
Alkalinity levels correctly.
- Check for proper operation and circulation. Especially if your
spa is operating outside and in the winter freezing months. Moving
water will not freeze so circulation is critical for freeze prevention.
- Check for leaks
- Use the spa!
- Weekly
- Shock Treat the water with 4-8oz Oxy-Brite
- Add Spa Water Clarifier
- Add Spa Stain and Scale protectant
- Add Enzyme treatment
- Add a small amount of Foam-Out

- Clean skimmer and pump baskets if so equipped
- Check spa and equipment for leaks

- Remove and clean spa filter cartridge. Either a simple "spray
out" or a chemical cleaning depending on spa usage

on any surrounding outside or local electrical circuits including
outlets and breakers
