Dr. H. Tueau - Get it?Testing the Pool Water:

The only way to know if your water is safe and in balance is to test the water with a test kit or test strips.  Even crystal clear water can be severely out of balance and cause damage to anything it comes in contact with.  Test strips have become the standard in pool and spa water testing.  Although liquid reagent type test kits are more accurate if used correctly, the test strips are much easier to use and inexpensive.  We recommend testing the pool water at least once per week, but three times per week is ideal.  Always wait at least 4 hours (24 hours is recommended) after adding chemicals to the pool before testing the water.
