Cloudy Water

Postby Bret on Fri Jul 23, 2010 8:18 am

I recently got my water chemistry in what appears to be correct (according to the test strips), but the water is still very cloudy. It is a very blue color of water that I see, nothing brown or green, just very very cloudy. The filter has been running non-stop, and has recently been backwashed. I tried 3 to 4 oz of Super Clarifier last night, woke up and still couldn't see the pool light (about a foot below the surface on the deep end), or the bottom half of the second step. I am wondering if the filter is not doing it's job, and needs service, possibly a change of sand?

If your water chemistry is good then it does sould like the filter sand needs to be serviced. Probably looking at around $200 to do the service, so find out if the owner is paying for it or if you will have to pay for it and let me know!

Thanks!
